The costs for maintenance are significant in operation of offshore wind farms. To improve the overall workability regarding maintenance tasks, it is of particular importance to have detailed information on weather limits for crew (and load transfer) operations. Enhanced analysis methods help to analyze these limits in detail and to evaluate optimization potential without sacrifice of safety.
Different platform types (semi-submersible, SPAR, tension-leg and large volume structure) as well as different access methods (CTV pushing, walk to work) can be analyzed by thec to contribute to O&M concepts. Walk to work (W2W) systems are simulated with either active or passive motion compensation. Our anaslysis methods cover both time and frequency response domain. Latter is used to reduce computational effort as long as the configuration of interest allows for linearization.
